Simulation of maritime operations on a navigation simulator

  • Development of project documentation for the «Maritime safety» section, specifically the design of vessel traffic management systems, vessel traffic control services, and maritime traffic management systems;
  • Creation of three-dimensional virtual navigation areas corresponding to real geographical areas;
  • Creation of three-dimensional virtual ship models that match the dimensions and maneuverability characteristics of their real-life counterparts;
  • Navigation simulation on a navigation simulator in virtual waterways using virtual ship models to practice various tasks (maritime operations in ports, roadsteads, rivers, in ice conditions, towing operations, emergency rescue operations, etc.) involving navigators and pilots;

  • Simulation of various weather conditions: wind, currents, sea waves, lighting, precipitation, ice conditions, etc.;

  • Conducting training sessions on a navigation simulator as part of various navigator training programs;
  • Risk assessment for navigation on routes and at facilities based on IALA (International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities) recommendations.

The service is provided by the «Maritime simulation and research complex» of the technical navigation department
