Scientific, technical, and engineering support for ship operations in ice conditions

  • Calculating the actual ice-breaking capabilities of ships, determination of safe operating parameters for ice navigation;
  • Development of ice certificates and other documentation to ensure safe ship operations in ice, including close towing behind icebreakers;
  • Analysis of key operational failures during ice navigation;
  • Development of ship modification projects to assign or upgrade ice class (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Finnish-Swedish Ice Class, Polar Class);
  • Assessment of vessel compliance with the Polar Code requirements and development of the Polar Water Operational Manual (PWOM);
  • Development of ship modification projects to obtain the Winterization mark.
