Scientific and technical support for the design of icebreakers and ice-class vessels

  • Assessment of morphological and physical-mechanical properties of ice cover as a navigation environment;
  • Justification of technical and operational characteristics and class symbols for ice-going vessels;
  • Hull form design to ensure efficient operation of vessels in both ice and open water conditions;
  • Design, optimization and structural strength analysis of ice-going vessel hulls;
  • Assessment and prediction of ice loads on vessel hulls, including vessels with bulbous bows and dual-purpose vessels;
  • Assessment of propeller and azimuth thruster propulsion characteristics, assignment of ice loads, and structural strength analysis.
